90 Days on Avenue U. is an ongoing series of temporary, site-specific commissions presented on the exterior of an upcoming community center in Wilmerding, PA.

Each mural remains on view for approximately 90 days before the surface is reset and made available for the next artist.

The program is structured as an open call, with priority given to artists who are base din or have a meaningful connection to Wilmerding and the surrounding area. By centering local perspectives, the program aims to reflect the textures, histories, and evolving identities of the community through contemporary practice.

Selected artists are provided a defined installation period of up to one week. This condensed timeline encourages direct, responsive approaches to scale, material, and sire, while maintaining a consistent rhythm of new work over time.

Rather than a permanent commission, the program emphasizes transition and renewal. Each cycle introduces a new artist, a new visual language, and a new moment of engagement—positioning the building as an active, public-facing platform for experimentation, visibility, and exchange.

By introducing new artwork throughout the year, the program activates the building as a public-facing cultural space. It aims to increase access to contemporary art, reflect local perspectives, and contribute to the cultural vitality of the Wilmerding community.
